May 14th: Adventuring from Sligo to Donegal
Today we had many beautiful "kodak moments" (Gerry, 2017). We visited the grave of William B. Yeats, a famous Irish poet, and then continued to visit the nature of Ireland. Our first stop was at Classiebawn Castle. As always with the views in Ireland, it was breathtaking and VERY windy. As we continued on we discovered another stop off with beautiful cliffs and even more amazing views (pictures below).
When we landed in Donegal and set off to explore the town. We visited the Donegal Castle that was built by Red Hugh O'Donnell late in the 15th century. Just like the previous castles, the architecture was exquisite and we all were wishing it was our home! We also found some cute little hats that suited our style perfectly. We have enjoyed our time in Donegal so far and are excited to see what the rest of the city has to offer.
Sincerely your favorite explorers: Sabrina, Cassie and Brianna
