May 7th: Killarney

May 7th, 2017

Hey guys!

Today we are in Killarney for our second day. This morning we took an amazing scenic route in the coach that Jerry knew about to the small, quaint town of Dingle. Our ride overlooked incredible landscape and cliffs down into the Atlantic Ocean, and exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Once we arrived in Dingle, we took a boat ride to find Fungie the wild dolphin. Fungie has been in the Dingle Bay for 35 years and loves visiting tourists and swimming along with them. Fungie swam alongside our boat and we were so excited to take his picture.

At night, we went to the Celtic Steps performance. Watching the amazing musicians and dancers perform was a moving experience. The show had an incredibly entertaining atmosphere and was very interactive with the crowd. One of the musicians even sat on Alyna's lap! The Irish dancers were so talented and extremely accomplished. Many of the dancers hold titles in Irish dancing, and are the best of the best. Their passion was easily seen throughout the performance. We learned so much about the history of music and dance in Ireland at this show. Overall, it was an incredible, fun-filled day in Killarney and Dingle!

Amazing view from the Dingle Peninsula.

Incredible Irish Dancing performers.
